VITALY Petrov, the coach of Filipino Olympian pole vaulter EJ Obiena, said he never complained about how Obiena compensated him nor initiated a conversation with Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (Patafa) President Philip Juico about it.
This was despite Obiena, at times, being late in giving Petrov his salary, as the 26-year-old explained to the legendary coach that he had received his allowances from Patafa late too. Hence, Petrov's salaries were given late as well.
