AS transactions involving virtual assets continue to grow fast, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) cautions the public to transact only with central bank-registered Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs).
BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno said during a press briefing on Thursday that the volume of virtual asset transactions has increased 362 percent year on year to about 20 million in June this year. These transactions totaled P105.93 billion, up 71 percent from P62.12 billion from a year ago.
