THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will not demonetize any Philippine currency under his leadership.
"Under my watch, there will be no demonetization of any denomination," BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno told the press during a briefing on Monday night following inquiries regarding what will happen to the present 1,000-piso banknotes once the controversial 1,000-peso polymer bill is in circulation.
