Data issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Wednesday showed that money sent home by overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) reached its highest level in three months in October.

In the 10th month of 2021, personal remittances — cash or kind transfers between families — totaled $3.11 billion, up 3 percent from $3.02 billion in September and 2.4 percent from $3.04 billion a year earlier. It's the highest sum since $3.16 billion was sent in July of this year.
