THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said hackers used other financial institutions other than the Union Bank of the Philippines to transfer funds stolen from Banco de Oro (BDO) clients.
"We have surveillance showing that there may be other institutions other than, of course, UnionBank, which may have been used to funnel away the stolen funds," Melchor Plabasan, director of the BSP Technology Risk and Innovation Supervision Department, told a press briefing on Friday.
