The Philippine automotive industry was badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly in 2020 as the economic downturn prevented consumers from spending on big-ticket items such as cars. Fast forward to 2021, and we're starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Automotive sales are starting to recover and the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (Campi) is expecting to end 2021 on a higher note than it did last year.

As the economy started to open up this year, businesses have begun to flourish and more Filipinos are spending on goods, and this includes cars.
