AS the country celebrates Rizal Day today, December 30, Education Secretary Leonor Briones reminded the youth to emulate the Philippine National Hero Jose Rizal's love of country.
"For our part, we should develop within ourselves the same fervor Rizal had instilled in us. The love for country [of Rizal] at an early age was inspirational. We should inculcate his values of discipline, organization, and common sense to young generations of Filipinos," Briones was quoted in a media release from the Department of Education.
