Dear PAO,

My brother was involved in a vehicular accident last week. The driver of the car escaped from the scene of the incident but my brother was able to get his plate number. It was discovered that the registered owner of the car is a manufacturing company and that the car was assigned to one of its employees. The said employee was on his way to work at the time of the accident. He admitted his negligence but told my brother that he has no means to pay for the damages sustained by my brother's car. Can the manufacturing company be held liable for the negligence of its employee?
