THE Department of Education (DepEd) gave schools division offices (SDOs) and regional offices (ROs) the authority to suspend classes in public schools for up to two weeks in line with the alarming surge in Covid-19 cases.

It said that class suspension this January should not exceed two weeks "in order to avoid a prolonged disruption in the current school calendar."
