The City of Antipolo in Rizal province suspended classes for almost two weeks, starting Monday, January 17. Mayor Andrea Ynares made the announcement through her social media account. Ynares said this will give time for all the ill teachers, students and other school personnel to rest and recover.

The suspension of classes will be imposed for both physical and virtual classes in all levels, both in public and private schools. Meanwhile, the mayor noted that the semestral break for public schools scheduled from January 31 to February 5 will still push through.
