THE Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) began recognizing Yuka Saso — who was born in San Ildefonso, Bulacan to a Filipino mother and a Japanese father — as a golfer of Japan during the lead up to the season opening of the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Orlando, Florida, slated from January 20 to 23.
Next to Saso's name, profile picture and biography on the LPGA website currently flew the flag of her father instead of the three stars and a sun of her former motherland.
