'Covid-19 top threat to stability'

PRESIDENT Duterte on Monday cited the continuous spike in coronavirus disease infections as the number one threat to the country's safety and stability.

"The number one threat to the Filipino today, aside from the NPA (New People's Army) and the terrorists, is really the Covid-19 fight. It is really a debilitating sickness. That's a contagion, mabilis ang hawa (it spreads fast). So, that's what keeps us worried about in the coming months," Duterte said in his televised briefing late Monday night.
