CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City: The number two commander of the New People's Army (NPA) in Mindanao and his cohort were killed in a firefight in Bukidnon, the military announced on Tuesday.
Maj. Francisco Garello, Jr., head of the Army's Public Affairs Office here, identified the fatalities as NPA leader Pedro Codaste, also known as Gonyong, and a certain Zandro.
