PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Dionardo Bernardo Carlos has ordered the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to conduct a deeper probe of robbery charges against eight policemen in Pampanga, as they may have cohorts who are still operating outside or on a much larger scale.

"I have instructed the director of the CIDG to dig deeper into the activities of the arrested CIDG personnel to possibly uncover their involvement in similar previous cases. There will be no sacred cows in this investigation, which will include their immediate superior officers and others who may have provided support to their activities," Carlos said in a statement.
