THE Department of Health (DoH) has issued guidelines on the use of self-administered antigen test kits to allow early detection of Covid-19 cases in the community.
Under Department Memorandum 2022-0033 issued on Jan. 26, 2022 and signed by Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, only self-administered antigen test kits approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and validated by the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) will be approved for use in the country.
