Why Marcos won't join presidential debates

Why is voter survey leader Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. skipping TV forums for presidential candidates? After his absence at the GMA News discussion last month, purportedly because its host, veteran journalist Jessica Soho was biased, Marcos again did not appear at the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) broadcast industry forum last week. Yet he had time to do a long interview with popular ABS-CBN host Korina Sanchez.

Whatever excuses his camp may give for avoiding presidential debates and discussions, the political reality is that Marcos, with more than half of voters favoring him based on surveys, stands to lose more than gain if he appears with rival candidates.
