Digital economy requires informed policy

IN an article written for the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) blog last week, three experts from the bank's Economic Research and Regional Cooperation department revealed that recent research on the digital economy in 2020 had a surprising result: in spite of an enormous increase in digital activity due to the coronavirus pandemic, the economic performance of the digital sector dropped sharply in most countries.
