A NUMBER of political analysts urged the presidential candidates to focus on platforms and issues rather than fanfare during their campaign.

"Candidates were convinced that they had the right gimmick to be noticed and supported by the public. I was hoping candidates would outline a more concrete platform, at the very least, a list of what they intend to do," said political analyst Edmund Tayao.
