PH must take the lead in ending plastic pollution

AN alarming new study released this week makes it clear that the people of Earth have run out of time to simply continue to discuss ways to reduce or eliminate plastic pollution, and has "massively exceeded limits safe for humanity or the planet." As our country is the world's biggest contributor of plastic pollution in the oceans, and among the top five biggest producers of plastic waste on land or sea, we here in the Philippines have a moral obligation to take immediate, drastic action to stop this destruction.
