THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is unconcerned about the European Parliament's reiterated threat to revoke the country's zero-tariff export status due to alleged human rights violations.

"It seems that some of their parliament members are misinformed," Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said on Saturday, in response to questions after the EU Parliament reaffirmed its call for the Philippines to act on human rights abuses or risk losing trade benefits and market access under the Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP+).
