THE grand rally of presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, in Antique province was not cancelled but only rescheduled to another date "in the spirit of peace and unity."
Lawyer Victor Rodriguez, spokesman of Marcos, made the statement after the scheduled rally of the tandem was called off as several residents, including the son of the slain Evelio Javier, protested on social media.
