Real estate investment trusts (REITs) are expected to grow further in the country as it continues to gain traction as another asset for investors to venture in.

REITs are "established principally for the purpose of owning income-generating real estate assets" by corporations, according to a briefer published by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
