NEWLY designated Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant Artemio Abu has been promoted by President Rodrigo Duterte from vice admiral to admiral — the highest rank as commissioned officer.
Duterte approved the promotion of Abu upon recommendation of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade a week after his appointment as the 29th PCG commandant.
