UNION Bank of the Philippines and Globe Telecom Inc. have inked a data sharing and fraud investigation deal aimed at combating cybercrime and boosting customer confidence and trust.
The memorandum of agreement signed by the two firms will help detect and prevent identity theft and other financial crimes, Globe chief privacy officer Irish Almeida said, adding that the information sharing will comply with relevant laws such as the Data Privacy Act.
