THE Philippine peso is likely to end the year at about 53 to the dollar, ANZ Research projected, due to the expected widening trade gap brought on by domestic and external factors.

In a report released over the weekend, it said, "We forecast the PHP (peso) to weaken toward P52.9 at the end of 2022."
