THE Philippines is seen accelerating the decarbonization of its power sector over the coming years amid the rising investor interests and a rapidly expanding project pipeline, an international research group said.

Fitch Solutions Country Risk and Industry Research, a unit of Fitch Group, made public on Thursday its outlook for the Philippine power sector, which highlighted that the country will see heightened efforts on its transport industry decarbonization amid growing proposed energy projects and programs. It also cited growing investments in the energy sector.
