ALL local government units (LGUs) were urged to enact ordinances that prevent obstructions and hazardous activities within the power line corridors (PLCs) in their respective localities, said the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
Interior Secretary Eduardo Año said the order was made to ensure the continuous transmission and distribution of electricity, especially during the summer months, and to support the implementation of Republic Act 11361 or the "Anti-Obstruction of Power Lines Act" (Aopla).
