IN 2017,researchers fromHarvard Business School published a study proving there's a positive correlation between asking questions and being liked. The five researchers conclude that "people who ask more questions are better liked by their conversation partners."

Without reading the complete study, it's easy to understand the simple reason: When we ask questions, we show that we're active listeners. We like what the other person is saying. We profess to understand and validate what was said. This means giving importance to their interests and values.
