THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) announced on Tuesday that revenue from its overseas assets and the national government's foreign currency deposit resulted in a $754-million surplus in the country's balance of payments (BoP) in March of this year.
The surplus contrasted with a $73-million loss in March 2021 and a $157-million deficit in February of this year. It was also the most since December of last year, when the payments position topped $991 million in surplus.
