ECONOMIC and political experts discussed prospects of the Philippine economy this election year during a virtual forum organized by Security Bank Corp. on Thursday.

Robert Dan Roces, Security Bank Corp. assistant vice president and economist, said the country's gross domestic product (GDP) likely expanded around 7 percent in the first quarter of 2022, which would bring the full-year expansion to 6 percent.
