AT least two members of the New People's Army (NPA) were killed in an armed encounter with soldiers of the 36th Infantry Battalion (36IB) in Lanuza, Surigao del Sur Friday, a ranking official said Saturday.
Lt. Col. Michael Rey Reuyan, commanding officer of 36IB, said the unidentified insurgents were neutralized by the Army's 4th Infantry Division at Sitio Catupgas, Barangay Nurcia, Lanuza.
