THE 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) formally begins on Thursday, May 12, but the Philippines will plunge into action on Friday, May 6, in men's football and beach handball.

The Philippine men's beach handball team takes on Thailand at 5 p.m. at the Tuan Chau Resort Ha Long in Quang Ninh and the national football team collides with Timor Leste in Group A action at 5 p.m. at the Viet Tri Stadium in Phu Tho.
