CHINESE President Xi Jinping on Wednesday branded President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. as "a builder, supporter and promoter of the China-Philippines friendship" as he reaffirmed the bilateral ties between the two countries.
During a lengthy telephone conversation, Xi congratulated Marcos and discussed with the president-elect bilateral ties and regional development over the phone on Wednesday morning, the Chinese Embassy in Manila said in a statement.
