THE Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday said police officers who will serve as Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEIs) in 12 villages in Lanao del Sur will be using body-worn cameras to ensure that all operations and responses for the conduct of peaceful and credible polls are well-documented.

Maj. Gen, Valeriano de Leon, director for operations and deputy commander of the Special Task Force on the National and Local elections, said that the use of body-worn cameras would be useful not only for transparency on the part of the PNP personnel but also in any legal matters against those who would attempt to sabotage or influence the results of the special polls.
