VANESSA Sarno won the gold and set a new record in the women's 71-kilogram class of the weightlifting competition of 31st Southeast Asian Games at the National Sports Training Center in Hanoi, Vietnam on Saturday.
The 18-year-old Sarno, who hails from Bohol, lifted 104 kg in snatch and 124 kg in clean and jerk to set new records in the biennial meet.
