THE Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) failed to meet the first-quarter collection target set by the Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC), the Department of Finance (DoF) said.
In a statement over the weekend, the DoF, citing BIR's report to Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez 3rd, said that BIR's collections from its operations amounted to P485.4 billion in the first quarter of 2022, 8.9-percent short of the P532.6-billion goal set by the DBCC.
