A FOOD crisis of unprecedented severity and geographical reach has been roiling the world for months, mostly the food-short nations in Africa and Europe and those which are 100-percent reliant on Russia-Ukraine supplied foodstuffs, like Egypt and Lebanon. The World Food Program said the global map is littered with food-insecure nations that are struggling with both shortages of basic food items and surging prices. Emerging and middle economies have borne the brunt of food shortages and skyrocketing food prices.
