The historic wake of Susan Roces

ALTHOUGH it is the masses that create history, we are also affected by the contribution of various personalities, who impact our lives. That is why when they pass on to the next life, we try to express our condolences and support to their family by attending their wakes and funerals.

Just some of those I visited: Comelec and PCGG chair Haydee Yorac, Sen. Raul Roco, activist Tado, Sen. Jovito Salonga, writer and public historian Carmen Guerrero Nakpil and actor Rico J. Puno. I also queued up at the bigger wakes of Jaime Cardinal Sin, President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino, Ka Eraño Manalo, actor Dolphy and President Noynoy Aquino 3rd. The pandemic prevented me from attending some more.
