LOCAL officials are planning to introduce biochar (biological charcoal) in Nueva Ecija that will be used as a soil enhancer and will reduce usage of fertilizer and irrigation requirements over a period of time.
Biochar, the officials said, also helps protect the environment against global warming and climate change as this alternative fertilizer breaks the carbon cycle.
