IT-BPM revenue up by 10% in 2021

THE information technology-business process outsourcing management (IT-BPM) industry said it achieved double-digit revenue growth last year, while also adding new jobs to the economy.

The Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (ibpap) said in a statement on Wednesday that the sector's revenue in 2021 was $29.49 billion, up 10.6 percent from the previous year. The number of full-time employees (FTEs) in the country climbed by 120,000 last year, bringing the sector's overall headcount to 1.44 million and representing a 9.1-percent rise over 2020.
