Ormeco clarifies issues, power outage

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: After getting a heavy beating on social media, the Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco), the lone power distributor in the province and portions of neighboring Occidental Mindoro, clarified the issues besetting the cooperative.

OIC General Manager Humprey Dolor, in an exclusive interview with The Manila Times, said that the power outages that consumers experienced were primarily caused by the low production of renewable power sources contracted by the cooperative.
