BACOLOD CITY: Congressmen from Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental are expected to file a joint bill that will recreate the Negros Island Region (NIR) once the 19th Congress begins in July.
Rep. Jose Franciso "Kiko" Benitez (third district) said the lawmakers on the island will jointly file the measure at the same time. It will include the island province of Siquijor.
