Abarrientos is joining an Ulsan squad which finished fourth in the past KBL season with a 30-24 record, as it got swept by the Goyang Orion Orions in the best-of-five quarterfinal series.
With this, Abarrientos, 22, has forfeited his four more playing years in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), becoming a one-and-done player in the process.
In his first and last year in the UAAP men's basketball tournament in Season 84, Abarrientos proved to be one of the best scorers in the league, averaging 13.8 points on top of 4.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals.
