PRESIDENT-ELECT Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has ordered the Department of Education (DepEd) to review the K to 12 program to determine students' level of comprehension and competitiveness.

"There is a need to improve the quality of education in the country," Marcos said on Monday as he noted that Filipino students are lagging behind their counterparts in neighboring countries, especially in science and English as a second language.
