DA aims for food sovereignty

Amid the recent disruptions in the global food supply systems, the Department of Agriculture (DA) is pushing for the country to attain food sovereignty to assure that every Filipino will have enough food on their tables.

Agriculture Secretary William Dar made this declaration in March this year, just as the Russia-Ukraine conflict escalated, which disrupted global food production and supply chains.
