SEN. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go reiterated the need to refile Senate Bill 205, or the proposed "Disaster Resilience Act" that aims to make Filipino communities adaptable and resistant to natural disasters.

"Even before a typhoon strikes, there should be an agency that will coordinate with the LGUs, preposition goods and evacuate our countrymen to safer grounds. After the typhoon leaves, normalcy will have to be restored immediately for our people. That is the objective of the Department of Disaster Resilience," Go said in a video message as his office distributed aid to 284 victims of Typhoon "Ulysses" in Marikina City, on June 24.
