THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) will resume voter registration on Monday in preparation for the scheduled Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on December 5.
Comelec spokesman Rex Laudiangco on Friday said that the registration period would only be for 21 days, or from July 4 to 24. The commission en banc has approved this in compliance with the provisions of Republic Act 8189 or the "Voter's Registration Act," which prohibits voter registration within 120 days before elections.
