Fire broke out at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza shortly before noon on Sunday but it was put out in less than an hour, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.
An initial report of the BFP-National Capital Region Public Information Office said that the blaze started in the kitchen.
