AN experiment proposed by the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) student William Kevin Abran on "Rotation of Dumbbell-Shaped Objects in Space" was selected to be performed on the International Space Station (ISS).

"In our experiment, we want to check if the dumbbell-shaped object is stable when rotated in different ways, or will it also follow the same tumbling motion as the T-shape. Understanding the behavior of dumbbell shapes can help in predicting the motion of spacecraft or even the motion of asteroids with the same shape," he explained in a message to The Manila Times.
