THE Philippines is expected to become the world's fourth-largest market for total installed geothermal power capacity by 2031, an international research group said.

In a report by Fitch Solutions Country Risk and Industry Research, a unit of Fitch Group, the Philippines was cited as the one of the research's geothermal power sector outperformers, which is forecast to be fourth-largest markets in terms of installed geothermal capacity globally by 2031, following the United States in third spot.
